IMR 4831 has a slightly slower burn rate speed than IMR 4350. It provides top velocities and performance with heavier bullets in medium-sized magnums.

Hodgdon 4831 IMR smokeless powder is a top performance heavy and medium Magnum load propellant. This powder burns only a little slower than IMR 4350. This powder is an excellent choice for a variety of guns including 25-06, 338 Winchester and 300 Winchester Magnums.

Works great in my 300 win mag

My go-to powder for 300 Weatherby Magnum.

The IMR 4831is the best powder I have found for my reloads for my 30-06 165gr.rounds.

Powder Valley had this hard to find powder at a reasonable price and delivered it promptly.

The service and delivery time are always great from Powder Valley . I have used IMR 4831 for my 7mm Remington Magnum since 1978 because of the consistent accuracy of the loads it is used in . I have recently began developing loads for a 280 Remington AI, using the IMR4831 powder and so far I am very pleased with the results .

Needed some IMR 4831 and PV was the only place that had any at anything close to a rea$onable price, at least by today's standards. I have a partial can of IMR 4831 that has a price sticker on it of $19.99, but those days are long gone aren't they... Shipping wasn't too terrible although add $19.95 HAZMAT on top of it and it's getting rediclulou$ to try to make reloading cost effective anymore... Still cheaper than buying local...
