Accurate 5744 smokeless powder is an extremely fast burning, double-base, extruded powder. This unique powder can be used in a wide range of rifle calibers and magnum handguns. 5744 reloading powder is characterized by excellent ignition and consistency over a very wide performance range. Low bulky density and superior ignition characteristics make 5744 an excellent choice for reduced loads in many rifle calibers and in large capacity black powder cartridges such as the 45-70 through 45-120 and 50-90 through 50-120.

Powder Valley has been a good source to purchase powders and other supplies that have been difficult to find. I haven’t been able to load rounds with the Accurate 5744, maybe next week.

I am using this in My 45-70 for a reduced load for shooting lever action silhouettes with a 300 and 350 gain cast bullets

Recently purchased 3lbs accurate 5744. Powder valley had best prices with very good reputation.shipped to north east promptly and packaged very well.
