Barnes TAC-TX BT Bullets .243 Diameter 90 Grain Solid Polymer Tip 50 Count

The TAC-TX bullet is a special purpose expanding all-copper bullet that is optimized around AR platforms. AR’s feature shorter carbine length barrels which reduce the muzzle velocity when compared to a standard barrel length. To achieve the same terminal performance that Barnes fans are used to, we added a larger tip to allow more fluid to enter the nose and modified the bullet cavity to maximize expansion at lower velocities. These bullets track straighter through barriers and have better weight retention than lead-core bullets.

New for 2026-The .243″ 6mm 90gr TAC-TX BT was designed and optimized around the 6mm ARC and its velocity range. We offer other .243″ 6mm TTSX & TSX bullets that may shoot well in a 6mm ARC, but their internal cavities were designed for higher velocity cartridges and will not provide sufficient terminal performance in this cartridge or similar cartridges. The cannelure is correctly positioned so you can crimp into it.
In addition to the 6mm ARC, the 6mm Creedmoor is also a great application for this bullet.
